Shape the future of Saab IT – Head of Cyber Defence Services

Take on a leadership role at the heart of Saab's digital transformation. As Head of Cyber Defence Services within Group IT, you will lead a strategically important area responsible for protecting Saab's digital assets, platforms and operations. Through modern detection, response and resilience capabilities, you will strengthen Saab IT's ability to protect critical assets in an evolving threat landscape. This role is about building and operating cyber defence capabilities that can scale with cloud adoption, digitalisation and future business demands.

Your role

As Head of Cyber Defence Services, you lead the organisation, people and capabilities within the area. Your mission is to evolve Saab's IT cyber defence services and capabilities to protect the organisation against current and future cyber threats across the company's IT enviroments.

As part of the IT Security & Compliance Operations management team, you will work closely with business stakeholders, technology leaders and security teams across Saab. The role requires some travel to meet with your teams and business stakeholders.

In this role, you will

• Lead, develop and engage employees within the area

• Define and drive the strategy and roadmap for Cyber Defence Services

• Develop and operate cyber defence services and supporting platforms

• Strengthen detection, response and threat intelligence capabilities

• Strengthen cyber defence platforms, tooling and engineering capabilities

• Enable modern security technologies, automation and Zero Trust capabilities

• Support secure cloud adoption and platform modernisation

• Build scalable security capabilities supporting Saab's IT environments

• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, vendors and partner

Your profile

We are looking for an experienced leader with a strong combination of people leadership, business understanding and technology insight.

You have experience leading teams and delivering results in complex IT environments while driving change. You are comfortable collaborating with stakeholders across functions.

You are an experienced technology leader with a passion for cyber defence, security, and digital transformation. You understand how cyber defence capabilities protect business operations, manage cyber threats, and strengthen resilience. You lead the development of cyber defence services and security capabilities that support business goals while enabling secure and resilient IT operations.

You are a people-oriented leader who creates engagement, develops others and fosters high-performing teams. At the same time, you have a strong delivery focus and a passion for modern technologies and transformation.

Key qualifications and experience

• Academic degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience

• Strong people leadership and talent development skills

• Extensive experience within cyber security, security operations, security engineering or security architecture

• Strong understanding of secure architecture and security-by-design principles

• Experience implementing modern security technologies and security platforms

• Understanding of Zero Trust, cloud security and automation

• Experience driving the development and modernisation of cyber security capabilities in complex environments

• Experience from the defence industry is considered an advantage

• Fluency in both Swedish and English, both written and spoken

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
