The Principal Engineer will contribute to a portfolio of commercial and military programs, as well as capital infrastructure improvement initiatives. This role demands strong proficiency in mechanical design, product definition, and manufacturing to produce engine and rig adaptive systems that simulate aircraft conditions such as engine inlets, exhausts, mounts, liquid and gaseous systems, cooling and heating carts, and overall test stand configuration and construction. Typical project execution includes interpreting project requirements, developing conceptual designs, performing detailed engineering analyses, and producing high‑quality product definition deliverables. Projects must be executed with a strong focus on safety, code compliance, budget, schedule, feasibility, and environmental considerations. The Principal Engineer will also collaborate closely with BOM CIPTs, Test Operations, FCS, and Data Recording departments to ensure smooth STE integration.
