Senior Systems Engineer, Army & NGC2 (Active Clearance)

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Connected Warfare division builds systems to support global command and control missions. We create joint, time-sensitive, multi-domain, ubiquitous, connected mesh ecosystems. Our ecosystem enables connected warfare with disproportional impact by connecting every robot, human, and sensor in every domain, bringing together hundreds of thousands of end points across the globe. We are the substrate that provides the source of truth for time-sensitive decisions, effectively transforming the way that militaries close kill chains and enable mission autonomy.

ABOUT THE JOB

Organize a complex ecosystem. You will be responsible for producing accurate representations of system design, system implementation, and system test from a variety of perspectives: management, engineering, product. You will need expertise in simplifying a diverse and complex system-of-systems through repeatable patterns and automation. Through collaboration with users, customers, third parties, and other stakeholders, you will rapidly digest disparate views of this complex ecosystem and re-present it for integration into Anduril engineering workflows.

Grow your business through programmatic success. You will be responsible for defining, proposing, and executing programmatic and business strategies that drive technology adoption and scale Anduril's footprint within the Army community. This requires establishing committed and trust-based partnerships with PMs and acquisition leaders to not only help them solve their immediate problems, but also to foresee future opportunities where Anduril’s technology can make them more effective.

Shape our products to meet Army Intelligence workflows. Work side-by-side with Army tactical and enterprise stakeholders to understand their workflows, system bottlenecks, and data integration needs. You will represent these users directly to Anduril's product and engineering teams, translating user feedback into actionable features on our product roadmaps.

Collaborate across nearly every Anduril team. Successfully deploying our complex systems requires collaborating with nearly every internal Anduril team - engineering, product, logistics, business development, contracting, and technical operations. You’ll be responsible for ensuring each party is engaged and informed, bringing the best of Anduril to the Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) ecosystem.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Mission First Mindset. We put the needs of the mission and our customers first. We actively seek out opportunities to better understand Army workflows, with a goal to build the best possible products for the warfighter and radically evolve national defense capabilities.

Ownership Mentality. We’re looking for owners—those who have a natural bias to assume responsibility and contribute to a culture of performance. You will actively own the technical and programmatic relationships with key CPE stakeholders, driving challenging and vague technical integration problems to clarity and resolution.

Technical Aptitude and Intellectual Curiosity. We are first and foremost a technology company. You must be comfortable communicating complex technical concepts, understanding how modern software and hardware systems integrate, and getting hands-on in lab environments to configure and test systems.

Structured Thinker and Problem Solver. Leading technical programs requires clear communication and well thought-out plans. We are looking for assertive communicators who can distill complex Army system-of-systems architectures into digestible integration plans. We often require abstract modeling in order to re-use concepts across customer sets.

High Value Team Member. At Anduril, the path to success weaves through the organization. We are a low-ego group that promotes teamwork and collaboration. You can develop rapport at both the tactical operator level and the executive/acquisition leadership level.

360 Degree Leader. We are a flat, non-hierarchical organization. We expect you to lead and influence people through both formal and informal constructs, identifying operational gaps and solving them immediately rather than stepping back.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Serve as the primary technical design interface between Anduril Connected Warfare and the Army communities in the Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) area, able to translate mission objectives, needs, and performance characteristics to computable, model-based data structures.
• Translate user needs into model-based data
• Establish and maintain functional, logical, and physical layers of the NGC2 architecture via model-based data structures
• Establish and maintain digital traceability to third-party reference architectures
• Use software to build model-based architecture and derive decision support analysis from it
• Provide hands-on, basic operational and technical integration support for Anduril hardware and software capabilities in both customer test beds and company laboratory environments.
• Design & implement user feedback loops to gather, triage, and prioritize requirements and integration hurdles discovered during lab testing, exercises, and field evaluations.
• Collaborate with Anduril’s software and hardware engineering teams to ensure our systems align with Army open architecture standards and interface guidelines.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Security Clearance: Must possess an active Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
• Deep domain expertise within the U.S. Army acquisition community, including familiarity with modern C2 systems, workflows, and tactical operations.
• Experience developing computable, data-driven architectures for large system-of-system deployments
• Experience using established architecture frameworks, such as SysML, UAF, DoDAF
• Proven experience in systems engineering roles within defense technology.
• Familiarity with Army connected C2/Intel systems (such as NGC2, TITAN, or AIDP)
• Ability to support basic technical configuration, troubleshooting, and operation of software/hardware systems in lab environments.
• Interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to build trust with technical and non-technical military leaders.
• Willingness to travel (25-50%).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Direct experience with the acquisition side of Army capability portfolios
• Experience in Defense Technology Product Management, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Customer Success roles.
• Experience developing custom software applications in an agile environment
• Familiarity with modern software development concepts (APIs, containerization, tactical cloud, and data fusion pipelines).
