Job Description:

Advance how our customers operate while you advance your career. Join GDIT as a Cloud Infrastructure Manager and build an impactful career in enterprise IT, collaborating with people who are driven and resourceful like you. At GDIT, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation and play a meaningful part in improving how agencies operate as we provide enterprise IT operations and maintenance (O&M) services for the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Automated Biometric Identification System (IDENT), the Homeland Advanced Recognition Technology (HART) system, and the Office of Biometric Identity Management (OBIM) to store, match, share, and analyze biometric and biographic data in support of DHS’s strategic mission. At the most critical moments of change, we’re there – bringing the resources, solutions, and expertise to help our clients take on some of the world’s biggest challenges – and GDIT is excited to offer you a unique opportunity to join a best performing O&M team supporting one our nation’s most critical national security, law enforcement, immigration and border management, and intelligence missions. With a career in Information Technology at GDIT, you’ll make the end user’s experience your priority and we’ll make your career growth ours.

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. Our work depends on a Cloud Infrastructure Manager joining our program to lead the Infrastructure team responsible for operating and maintaining the infrastructure components in the production and non-production environments of these enterprise-scale, mission-critical systems: IDENT, HART, and the OBIM Cloud System (OCS). In this role, you will manage infrastructure across a Government data center, Government-utilized Equinix data centers, and multiple cloud environments (including AWS GovCloud and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)), oversee the O&M of hundreds of physical and virtual server endpoints and a petabyte-scale storage solution, and work proactively, collaboratively, and with an entrepreneurial spirit in providing O&M support to the customer and their Stakeholder communities in achieving their critical missions. This is a hands-on technical and people leadership position in a fast-paced work environment requiring deep infrastructure expertise, strong people and vendor management skills, and experience operating in highly regulated, high-availability environments.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Cloud Infrastructure Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the missions of DHS and OBIM. If you’re passionate about leading teams, scaling complex infrastructures, and supporting a high-impact mission, we encourage you to apply.

• Support implementation of hardening baselines, patch management, configuration management, and access controls across all managed platforms

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Serve as a primary point of contact for infrastructure-related issues and planning with program leadership, the customer, and cross-functional teams
• Communicate clearly and effectively with DHS/OBIM and other stakeholders regarding infrastructure status, risks, changes, and improvements
• Coordinate with OEMs, cloud service providers, and third-party vendors for escalations, upgrades, and roadmap alignment

Planning & Modernization

• Contribute to multi-year infrastructure roadmaps, including modernization, capacity growth, technology refresh, and cloud adoption strategies
