At Airbus, we support you to work, connect and collaborate more easily and flexibly. Wherever possible, we foster flexible working arrangements to stimulate innovative thinking.
Your challenges:
- Design wind tunnel models using Catia V5 while ensuring efficient manufacturing, assembly & instrumentation integration.
- Perform structural analyses of wind tunnel models primarily using the Catia FEM module and hand calculations.
- Liaise closely with suppliers to secure on-time, on-cost delivery and manufacturability of components.
- Lead and coordinate tasks for other designers within the internal team and the external supply chain.
- Define and optimize aerodynamic testing facilities and techniques in collaboration with programme stakeholders.
Your boarding pass:
- Master degree in aeronautics, specialised in mechanical engineering.
- This position requires at least 5 years of experience in an industrial environment.
- Hands-on mechanical CAD design skills, ideally in Catia V5.
- Structural analysis expertise via Finite Element Analysis (Catia FEM module) and hand calculations.
- Knowledge of design for manufacture (DFM) of metallic structures (composites know-how is a plus).
- Familiarity with aerodynamic testing and wind tunnel terminology would be an advantage.
- Advanced level both in French and in English.
