At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role is part of Blue National Security (BNS), where our focus is the design, development, and delivery of launch and spacecraft systems for national security missions. Through Blue Ring, our all-in-one, high-powered hybrid solar-electric and chemical-propelled spacecraft, we provide unmatched mission maneuverability, versatility, and capacity at dramatically lower-profile costs.

The Mars Telecom Network will provide reliable, long-lived communications for missions at Mars. Delivering it takes complex, multi-system avionics and flight software that has to work autonomously, far from Earth, for years. You will work across the full life of the spacecraft, from concept and system definition through integration, verification, on-orbit checkout, and mission operations.

As a Senior Flight Software Engineer on the Mars Telecom Network, you'll bring a track record of taking complex, multi-system embedded avionics software from concept to delivered product, ideally for aerospace or similar critical systems. Your communication skills and fluency with Agile software development will help you lead the team and its stakeholders.
