As a Senior Quality professional, you’ll have the opportunity to have a measurable impact on the performance of our business by promoting the highest standards of quality. To be considered for the Senior Quality Engineer role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Minimum 5+ years of professional work experience in Engineering or Manufacturing

• Experience with AS9100 standards
• Proficiency with statistical, spreadsheet, word processing, and database software packages
• Experience supporting government and customer audits
• Specialized technical knowledge of mechanical, electro-mechanical, hydro-mechanical components as well as manufacturing assembly, and functional test methods
• The ability to support quality related issues to drive program success; the ability to convey confidence to customers during frequent interactions
• ASQ certification is a plus

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will…

• Most importantly, you’ll be relied heavily upon to have integrity, and as someone who won’t be afraid to stand up and say “STOP – we have a problem we that need to address right away.” You may have found that this type of environment hasn’t been encouraged where you’ve worked in the past, but it is here. You’ll have the strength of Moog’s culture behind you to support it.
• Play an integral part on program teams in meeting contractual requirements and driving crucial quality related decisions for customers such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Airbus, and Sikorsky for both commercial and military aircraft. Act as the Moog liaison and representative to support Government (FAA and DCMA) initiatives, audits and requirements.
• Support production by conducting QE studies, recommending design changes and providing quality support to manufacturing personnel.
• Activities will include failure analysis, root cause and corrective action analysis, risk mitigation, material review, customer & governmental interface, audit support configuration control, traceability and audit support.
• Develop Quality plans for receiving inspection, manufacturing operations, assembly & test processes and final inspection.
• Optimize cost for inspection and prevent cost due to failure through statistical analysis and problem solving.
• Leadership and influence: mentoring other quality engineers, leading cross-functional investigations, and influencing decisions without direct authority.
• Quality systems and methods: the specific standards, tools, or methods the role uses, such as AS9100, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D, and root-cause analysis. Include only those that actually apply.
• Decision authority: what the engineer can place on hold, stop, or escalate—and how issues are resolved.
• Success measures: examples might include corrective-action effectiveness, defect or escape reduction, audit results, or improved process capability.
• Be involved in customer interactions —such as presenting investigation results, negotiating corrective-action plans, or supporting customer audits.

How We Care for You:

• Financial Rewards: great compensation package, bonus opportunities, matching 401k, and the ability to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Plan (select locations), Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts
